What is the difference between http and https ?

MANY PEOPLE ARE UNAWARE OF THE DIFFERENCE

**The main difference between http:// and https://  is It's all about keeping you secure**

HTTP stands for Hyper Text Transport Protocol which is just a fancy way of saying it's a protocol
(a language, in a manner of speaking)   For information to be passed back and forth between web servers and clients.
The important thing is the letter S which makes the difference between HTTP and HTTPS.
The S (big surprise) stands for "Secure".   If you visit a website or webpage, and look at the address in the web browser,
it will likely begin with the following: http://.  This means that the website is talking to your browser using the regular 'unsecure'
language.   In other words, it is possible for someone to "eavesdrop" on your computer's conversation with the website.
If you fill out a form on the website,  someone might see the information you send to that site.
This is why you never ever enter your credit card number in an http website!

But if the web address begins with https://, that basically means your computer is talking to the website in a secure code
that no one can eavesdrop on.  You understand why this is so important, right?  If a website ever asks you to enter your credit
card information, you should automatically look to see if the web address begins with https://.  If it doesn't, there's no way
you're going to enter sensitive information like a credit card number.

And if you are ordering something on line, another tip,  go to Contact Us or anyplace on the web page you are at
and get their 1 800 number and dial it and order that way.

Once I was cooking some corn and stuck my fork in the boiling water to see if the corn was ready.   I missed and
my hand went into the boiling water....

A friend of mine, who was a Vietnam vet, came into the house, just as I was screaming, and asked me if I had
some plain old flour...I pulled out a bag and he stuck my hand in it.  He said to keep my hand in the flour for 10
minutes, which I did.

He said that in Vietnam, this guy was on fire and in their panic, they threw a bag of flour all over him to put the fire
out...well, it not only put the flour out, but he never even had a blister!!!!

SOOOO, long story short, I put my hand in the bag of flour for 10 mins,  pulled it out and had not even a red mark
or a blister and absolutley NO PAIN.  Now, I keep a bag of flour in the fridge and every time I burn myself I use the
flour and never ONCE have I ever had a red spot, a burn or a blister!

*cold flour feels even better than room temperature flour.

Miracle, if you ask me.  Keep a bag of white flour in your fridge and you will be happy you did.  I even burnt my
tongue and put the flour on it for about 10 minutes and the pain was gone and no burn.  Try it!

And,
DON’T run your burn area under cold water first, just put it right into the flour for 10 minutes and experience a
miracle!
